Victories at Phillip Island for Petr Svoboda and Füsport - RT Motorsports by SKM – Kawasaki

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce that Füsport - RT Motorsports by SKM - Kawasaki put in a great performance at the ASBK Supersport 300 championship in Australia! A month ago, we already shared the news that we would be competing with Petr Svoboda in this national championship, and last weekend it finally happened. And what a weekend it was. Thanks to a unique collaboration with Wepol Racing Parts and Füsport, we were now able to race outside Europe. With Jed Metcher as Petr Svoboda's crew chief, the team was ready to score. And they did! Petr got off to a fantastic start by finishing first in qualifying for the Australian Supersport 300 race.
But it got even better. In Race 1 and Race 2, Petr showed why he is such a talented driver. He took both wins during his first appearance at Phillip Island. Unfortunately, Race 3 went a little less smoothly for Petr. After a good start, he ended up in the gravel on the long straight of the famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Petr managed to get his Kawasaki Ninja 400 back on track and then showed why he is a true race winner. In just three laps, Petr managed to climb from P21 back to the lead and broke the 2020 lap record in the process!
In the end, Petr finished on a very close P3, thanks to a thrilling slipstream finish. But that didn't make him any less the overall winner of ASBK Supersport 300 Round 1 as well as the new lap record holder!
Team manager Rob Vennegoor: ‘We are incredibly proud of Petr and would like to thank everyone who helped us make this possible. A special shoutout to WRP Wepol Racing, Füsport, Jed Metcher, Paul Grant-Mitchell, Brian and Craig, all the people at MA and ASBK and of course Mark Bracks for the great commentary. You guys have made this experience unforgettable!’
